Back in action

Well, after a long [but way too short] summer I am finally back to my blog with lots of fun inspiration and ideas. I can't tell you how many times I sat down to the computer to share something - like buttercream, berries, BBQ's...but my mind kept thinking about getting ready for this vacation or that vacation or cleaning the house and finally, getting Beckett ready to start pre-school. Plus the summer has been so beautiful - who wants to sit at the computer & type? Not me!

But now, things are winding down and I'm ready to blog. Blog about the buttercream, the berries & the Brandy Alexanders. The latter having to do with a 70th birthday party I am planning that will have a late 1950's/early 60's cocktail vibe. Can't wait to share and see how it all turns out.

Enjoy your Labor Day weekend! We are having a little party. "Fancy BBQ" as I am dubbing it. Grilled Baby Artichokes with Lemon Aioli, Panko Onion Rings [from the Freezer section, I don't panko bread anything myself], these yummy sounding burgers from a recipe in the Build a Better Burger Cookoff Cookbook and finally, Grilled Angel Food Cake with Balsamic Strawberries & Basil Whipped Cream. I am hungry thinking about it.
